Career highlight: Winning Danskin Seattle and Tri for the Cure Denver. On two separate occasions in two separate locations, I  won “the largest all-women’s triathlon in North America”!

Race wheels: 650c TdF58 SL's

Favorite place to train: Oahu – I love doing hill repeats up Tantalus, and swimming in Waimea Bay.

What I always wanted to be when I grew up: An animator for Disney

If I was a cartoon character I would be: Homestar Runner

If I could have lunch with anyone it would be: Catullus, the ancient Roman poet

My hero is: Man O’ War (the race horse)

Favorite food: Corn on the cob, preferably Silver Queen

If I won the lottery: I’d still be a pro triathlete, a PhD student, and an Inside Triathlon columnist – I lead a blessed life!

Five things I would need to survive, if left alone on a deserted island: I was actually thinking about this the other day and I came up with a great list that I promptly forgot. So, a pen and a pad of paper to write things down on, plus the Economist, my favorite Splish bikini, and a metalized pair of TYR Velocity  goggles!

Favorite Movie: The Station Agent
