Rolf Prima introduces its fastest Wheels Ever
Eugene, OR- After introducing its first Carbon tubular wheel system late last summer, Rolf Prima has developed an even faster wheel and reduced the spoke counts even further.
The new Carbon TdF58 wheel system uses a 58mm tall custom tubular rim design using an exclusive Nodal Reinforcement ™ process that allows the use of higher spoke tensions to maintain wheel stiffness. With only 12 bladed stainless steel spokes (front and rear) paired together at the rim using Rolf's patented Paired Spoke Technology™ these wheels are among the lightest and fastest wheels available. At only 1310 grams per set these hand-built wheels are UCI approved for mass start events and retail for $2399 per set.
Also new for 2006 is the Carbon TT wheel system which is based largely on the Carbon TdF58 platform, but uses only 10 spokes in the front wheel and 12 in the rear making it the lowest spoke count wire tensioned wheel system in the history of wheels. These wheels are the ultimate choice for elite triathletes and road time trialers says Rolf Prima's marketing director, T.J. Walsh. Look for these wheels to make their professional debut on the ITU race circuit under 2005 World #1 ranked triathlete Hunter Kemper and 2003 US Ironman champion, Michael Lovato. The Carbon TT wheelset tips the scales at only 1295 grams and retails for $2399.
