Angela Naeth takes 2nd at IronMan 70.3 Timberman
Held at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, Angela Naeth set out this past weekend at IronMan 70.3 Timberman to bring home a podium finish and that's just what she did.
Seventh out of the water, Naeth was about five minutes behind the leader, Chrissie Wellington. Making a quick transition to the bike, Naeth began to set a blistering pace for anyone to follow. Finishing with what is becoming her signature move; Naeth took the fastest bike split of the day on her Rolf Prima TdF58 Disc combo. Holding onto her gained time from the bike leg, Naeth continued to run strong and brought home a second place finish for the day.
"I'm always in my element when on the bike," Naeth said. "In the water, I tend to just try to float and get to shore. The bike (course) was awesome. It had lots of hills. I love hills. I just looked to push it up the hills and really focused on the downhills."
