Two top five finishes for Rolf Prima at Ironman 70.3 Calgary

Voted by Triathlete Magazine as one of the most scenic races in the world, the morning kicked off with a 2km swim in the crystal clear waters of Ghost Lake, followed by a 90km bike and 21km run with the Rocky Mountains as the scenic backdrop.

Continuing on his streak, Rolf Prima athlete Graham O’Grady dominated the swim and exited the water first with a time of just over 24 minutes. Just a couple of minutes behind, Rolf Prima athlete Trevor Wurtele exited the water with a small chase group and made a quick transition to the bike. Losing a little time in the bike, O’Grady was fourth into T2, while Wurtele rode himself up to sixth and continued to push on, taking time away from his competitors.

As the run leg unfolded, O’Grady hung on with a strong run time of 1:21:41, taking fourth for the day. While Wurtele, just seconds behind completed the day in fifth, placing two Rolf Prima athletes in the top five.

Trevor Wurtele was racing on his Rolf Prima TdF58SL PowerTap wheel set and Graham O’Grady on a Rolf Prima TT58 Disc set.
