Q. What is the expected water temperature of Cottage Grove lake for race day?
A. The surface water temp (top 18 inches) at Cottage Grove Lake in late July will be around 70F assuming we have a "normal" summer.

Q. Will wetsuits be allowed?
A. Almost certainly yes – we expect water temperatures to be within USAT guidelines to allow wetsuits.

USAT rules on wetsuits: "Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wetsuit at their own discretion, provided, however that participants who wears a wetsuit within such temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Above 84 degrees, wetsuits are prohibited."

Q. Will the swim be a mass or wave start?
A. The Rolf Prima Tri at the Grove will be a wave start.
